ISV Platform Expansion Program

The Itanium® Solutions Alliance offers the ISV Platform Expansion Program, intended to accelerate the deployment of a broad range of software applications on Itanium®-based systems.  The program is geared toward increasing the availability of solutions developed and compiled for Solaris/SPARC Solaris platforms, by providing a simple and effective method to deploy those applications on Intel® Itanium® architecture. 

Using Transitive® Corporation's QuickTransit® software, ISVs who have applications previously available only for Solaris/SPARC Solaris platforms can now offer those same solutions to customers using Itanium-based platforms, without the need for porting or recompilation.  The result is a significant expansion of the addressable market for those applications, with the additional benefit that the ISV does not need to maintain and support multiple code lines, and can continue using Solaris/SPARC development tools.

End users will also benefit from this program, through the immediate and transparent Solaris/SPARC software stack migration to the latest Itanium-based platforms. They also benefit from longer application life cycles, extended application ROI and reduced risk from obsolete hardware.
